It's been

...but who's counting?

Hi!

My name is Lindsay and I'm 10 years old. My Dad started calling me Lizzy when I was a little kid, and now all of my friends call me Lizzy too.

I am in 5th grade. I have a little sister, and three brothers. I have two dogs, a cat, a hamster and a turtle.

I love to sing, and am a member of the Rockland Street Revue.

Sports are great! I swim, play softball and basketball. At least I used to do all those things. Now, because of a blood disease called Aplastic Anemia I've been benched for the season.

Mom and Dad say I'll be back on the field and in the pool next season, but for now, I just have to take care of myself and get better.

In the meantime, Mom and I decided that it might be a good idea to put this site together. It's not only to keep our family and friends updated, but also for the kids that are going through what I'm going through, and the Moms and Dads who are worrying about them.

You can find out some information about Aplastic Anemia on The Details page. The Journal section will have updates from me, and updates from my Mom as we work on getting through this Aplastic Anemia stuff. Sometimes Mom's take on what's going on is different then mine. It's a Mom thing, I think.

Please be sure to stop by and sign my Guestbook. I have visitors from all over the world!

Also, if you have a minute, please register for Lizzy's Message Boards. We're attempting to create an Online Community for patients, families and friends that are dealing with Aplastic Anemia.
